Speed was lying on his back on the grass. His head was placed on his palms. He turned his head to see Eric lying on his side not far from him. Eric was leaning on his elbow, looking at the horizon. Tim had never seen Eric so serious. And if he did not feel the importance of the moment, he for certain would have burst out laughing. Tim turned his head to the other side seeing the small fire. Eric had come to him at his first day at the lab after shooting and asked him for help. Help to let go the past. Eric had brought Speed to the spot on the slope of the mountain. He said that that was his special black book. Then he set it on fire. They drank some wine, talked a little and now they were lying under the apple tree just watching and listening. Tim turned his gaze on the sky. He liked lying and watching the bright green leaves against bright blue sky.

Eric was lying on his side and looking at the horizon, where it met with green foggy valleys. Then he looked at Tim. He was lying there alive and deep in thought. Damn! He'd nearly lost him. To see his best friend at the edge of death made him realize that all he needed was Tim. Not a one-night boy-friend or girl-friend. Just Tim during the day and during the night. He brought him here to his favorite place to show him that he was ready to begin a new life and burned that special legendary note book with addresses and telephone numbers of many people he could spend some time with. But not all his time. Not all his life. Eric moved closer to Tim and put his head on Tim's shoulder.

Now they were both lying on their backs. The wind play with leaves of that apple tree. Right now they needed no kisses, no words and no thoughts. They were just lying side by side watching the sky, listening to each other's breath, quiet rustle of the grass and leaves. Breathing in the sun, the warmth of the ground, the softness of the grass, the light smoke of the little fire and mostly each other's scent.

They didn't know that at that very moment the same thought came to their minds. Each man realized that he was happy. Feeling the other man next to him was that missing part of their life pictures. Everything was perfect now. Eric put his hand on Tim's stomach. Tim turned slightly and kissed Eric's forehead. Eric looked at his hand on Tim's belly, matching his breathing. And said: "We should remember this moment. Moment of total peace, completeness and quietness. We should remember. We should..."
