Greg remembers feeling lost.

The look in Grissom’s eyes when he noticed the trembling of his hands. The way all his friends suddenly started treating him like he was made out of glass, speaking softly and touching him, too often, too gentle.

All but one. Nick never seemed to treat him any differently, still joking around with him and still touching him, not often enough and too gentle. Soon enough that changed, and now, when Nick talks to him, he talks softly. And when he touches him, which happens more frequently, it’s less gentle. More intimate.

Greg remembers being found.
