A/N: I only watched CSI: NY's 'Blink' which I downloaded because I'm so impatient. I really enjoyed it. Really did. Too bad my country is so backtracked that I won't get to watch it anytime soon. Slight spoiler to 'Blink'. Also, this is my first drabble ever.

He watched as the man leaned against the gates that barricaded along the once standing building that was the Twin Towers. He knew that Mac was still hurting from losing Claire and seeing Jane Doe like that, in a coma, only brought hurtful memories. The pain only made him hurt as he knew there was nothing he could do but watch. Deep inside, he wanted to hold Mac and tell him everything he knew the man needed to hear. He just stood there, hidden in the shadows and watched because he couldn't be Stella and watch in the open. One day, he will do all that but for now he watched. Mac had walked away and was heading somewhere when he looked at his direction. He knew he was caught. The man walked over to him and recognized him.

"Danny?" he asked in a curious voice," What are you doing here?" Danny gave a smile before sighing.

"Just watching," he answered. One day, he'll add the 'you' in that sentence but for now: Just watching.
