Title: She Saw It
By: flipflopadd1ct
Pairing: Nick/Greg
Rating: PG-13
A/N: This is one of my favorite fics that I've written. I don't know why...but it is! Heh.
Summary: Someone sees Nick and Greg doing something. Vague, I know. But it all eventually makes sense ;) Response to a challenge...a challenge I came up with! It had to use the line "He/She saw what!" Just 'cause I made the challenge doesn't mean I can't do my own version of it! Yay!

"She saw what!" Greg was visibly horrified.

Nick, on the other hand, looked amused. "Oh yeah. She saw it."

"But it was under the table...how could she have seen..."

"Sara's not a CSI for just any reason."

"Why doesn't this freak you out? This is so not the way I wanted to out myself!" The lighter-haired man dropped his head into his hands. When Nick didn't immediately respond, Greg looked up at his boyfriend. "Wait, tell me exactly what happened."

Nick got comfortable on the couch. "Well, she and I were working a case off the Strip..."

"Hey, Nicky," Sara said, stepping out of her Tahoe. "Sorry I'm late."

Nick just grinned. "It's fine. What else do I expect from you?"

"Haha. Very funny, Stokes." She knelt down next to him and the lifeless body that Nick was collecting evidence from. They worked in silence for a few minutes until Sara, after taking a quick glance around to make sure the officer on duty wasn't watching, spoke again. "So how long have you and Greg been together?"

Nick almost dropped the fiber he had just picked up.

"You heard me," she laughed.

"What makes you ask something like that?"

"Oh, I dunno," she said, "maybe it has something to do with Greg resting his hand on your leg throughout the entire briefing?"

The Texan lowered his voice. "How did you see that?"

"The funny thing is, I didn't see it. I guessed. And you just told me." She grinned triumphantly, as if she had just solved the murder before them.

"Sara! You can't tell anyone! This wasn't supposed to happen this way."

"I won't. Trust me. But I want to know everything. How long's it been?"

Nick sighed an exasperated sigh. "Over a year."

"I gotta hand it to you, Nicky, you two hid it well. Although as much as Greg used to hit on me, I always suspected he wasn't straight."

Nick shot her a glance. She was thoroughly enjoying this. "What about me?" he asked.

"Let's just say I was pleasantly surprised." Sara laughed softly to herself as she examined a broken piece of glass with tweezers.

"Are you sure no one else saw?" Nick asked, trying to hide his worried tone.

"I don't think so. I just happened to look over at the right time." She looked over at her co-worker, seeing that he looked slightly stressed out. Sara rested a reassuring hand on Nick's shoulder. "Don't worry. Your secret's safe with me."

"Thanks, Sara," he replied. "Hey, check out this blood drop..."

"I believe her. She wouldn't say anything," Nick said.

Greg scooted over, snuggling into Nick's arms. "You know, I'm gonna miss the anonymity," he said, leaning into his boyfriend's warmth.

Nick kissed the top of Greg's head. "Me too. But that's what you get for getting touchy-feely at work."

Greg turned and gave the Texan his best pout. "Not my fault. You were wearing your sexy jeans."

"Aren't all my jeans sexy?"

Greg thought about that for a second. "Yeah, but you know which ones I'm talking about. The really sexy ones."

"I might have liked it, G, but you totally broke one of the first rules we made up when we started."

"Are you gonna punish me?" The look on Greg's face had turned mischievous.

Nick gave Greg a light kiss on the lips. "No, but now that we're home you can be as touchy-feely as you want."

"Already there," said an ever-eager Greg, his hands already working on Nick's zipper.
