At Greg's apartment. January 12th, 2002. 8:07 AM.
Hey, Greg, it's me, Nick. I just wanted to say – I had a good time last night. Sorry I slipped out on you. Warrick called me, said Grissom wanted us in to go over some evidence in the Wright case – [Static. Dial tone.]

At Greg's apartment. January 12th, 2002. 8:11 AM.
Nick again. My cell cut out while I was driving and – [A short burst of static.] Anyway, I just wanted to ask if you wanted to go to breakfast or something one of these days. I mean, we've spent the night at one of our houses, what, six times now? Let's do something outside the bedroom. Call me back. [Dial tone.]

On Nick's cell. January 12th, 2002. 4:23 PM.
Nick, it's Greg. Look's like we're playing phone tag. [Laughs] I got your message late but I'd love to do dinner, breakfast, whatever we call it. I'm up for anything, really. Later. [Dial tone.]

On Greg's cell. January 13th, 2002. 1:12 AM.
How about my place right after shift? Hell, I'll cook. Got some steaks I've been waiting to use and you haven't been over in weeks. Bye. [Dial tone.]

On Greg's cell. January 13th, 2002. 8:30 AM.
It's Nick. Guess you didn't get my call, but just in case you hear it soon, I got a meal waiting... [Silence for a few seconds. Dial tone.]

On Greg's cell. January 15th, 2002. 2:58 PM.
Greg, are you okay? I haven't seen you at the lab and you didn't return my last call. What's going on? [Dial tone.]

On Greg's cell. January 15th, 2002. 7:04 PM.
Yeah, it's Nick again. But I'm worried. Are you having second thoughts? 'Cause I can do the sex thing and nothing more, that's fine with me. I'd just...I'd just like to get an answer. [Dial tone.]

On Greg's cell. January 16th, 2002. 9:00 PM.
This is really starting to get to me. [A sigh. Dial tone.]

At Nick's apartment. January 16th, 2002. 11:33 PM.
Nick! I haven't been avoiding you; seriously, it's the last thing I'd do. I dunno if you'd believe me but I lost my phone the other day; just found it today. In my jeans pocket. Imagine that. [A short laugh and a cough.] And I haven't been at the lab because I got that flu that's going around. You could've asked somebody at the lab, maybe? Grissom knew I was out. [Another cough.] I'd still like to have dinner. I've heard there's nothing like Texas steaks! [Another laugh. Dial tone.]

On Greg's cell. January 17th, 2002. 8:12 AM.
Finally! I believe you about the flu, man, I think half the lab's got it. Let me know when you're all better. I don't know, something about kissing you with a runny nose doesn't sound too hot. [Chuckles. Silence for a few seconds, then the sound of a nose being blown.] Shit. I think I'm coming down with something too. Catch you later. Oh, and do you ever turn your phone on? [Dial tone.]

On Nick's cell. January 20th, 2002. 7:45 PM.
Hey, it's Greg, I just wanted to drop you a message, tell you that dinner was orgasmic and the sex fantastic. Or maybe it was the other way around. [Laughs] Next time I'm cooking for you. How about tonight? I make a mean spaghetti. And I you have no right to get on my case for not having my phone on! [Another laugh.] Well, see you after shift, as long as the overtime doesn't get us. Bye. [Dial tone.]
