I can see her glaring at me out of the corner of my eye,
as I discuss a case with Grissom.
I feel awkward, embarrassed, my words are lost in my throat.
I know she loves him, I know she thinks I do too,
That's why she's glaring, she thinks I'm competition.
I don't love Grissom, but she doesn't realise.
I wish she knew the truth,
I wish she could see that I only love her.
I mutter goodbye as I turn and walk quickly down the corridor,
avoiding looking at Cath.
I can feel her eyes burning into my back.
My heart is heavy as I realise that Catherine will never love me.

I watch her chatting with Grissom and my heart drops,
what are they talking about?
I feel defeated, jealous, empty.
I know she loves him, I know she thinks I do too,
that's why she watches me out of the corner of her eye,
to see my reaction, to let me know that she's competition.
I don't love Grissom, but she doesn't realise.
I wish she knew the truth,
I wish she could see that I only love her.
She whispers something to Grissom that I can't hear,
and then walks straight past me.
I feel like I am invisible.
I turn and watch her disappear round the corner
and my heart is heavy as I realise that Sara will never love me.
