"Do you think we'll still be in love when we're old and grey?"

Ryan looked at Greg with raised eyebrows, wondering why his boyfriend would ask such a question. "Sure we will be," he answered, his voice very soft. "What, do you think I won't love you just because we're older? No way. I'll love you even more."

"How do you know that?" Greg rolled over onto his stomach, propping his chin in his hands and fixing Ryan with a concerned stare. "You might get tired of me, Ry. After we've been together for most of our lives, how do you know you won't ever want to be with somebody else?"

"How do I know?" Ryan answered, surprised that Greg would even ask him such a question. "Because I love you. I've loved you since the first moment I saw you."

"I love you, too," Greg whispered his voice trembling slightly. "But how do we know that we'll always be in love, Ry? How do you keep the music playing all the time, and make sure that you're dancing all the right steps? How do we know the music won't just .... stop?"

Ryan sat up in bed, holding out his arms to his boyfriend.

It was time to stop this line of thinking, he told himself as Greg sat up, moving into his arms and resting his head on Ryan's shoulder. He didn't want Greg thinking for even one second that he'd ever get tired of them being together, because that wasn't possible.

"We keep the music playing by always listening to it, and not being afraid to talk to each other about anything that we feel like we need to," he said softly, running a hand through Greg's hair. "No secrets, Greg. We should never have any kind of secrets between us."

"Agreed," Greg said softly, nodding and closing his eyes as he nestled closer against Ryan. "I don't think I could ever keep secrets from you, even if I wanted to."

Ryan knew just how to make sure he didn't keep any secrets.

"You'd better not," Ryan told him, keeping his tone playful. "Because if you do, then I'll have to get them out of you. Like .... this!" He moved a hand down Greg's side, deliberately tickling his boyfriend before rolling over on top of him.

He was rewarded with a squeal of laughter, and the feel of Greg squirming under him. "Ry! I promise .... no secrets .... ever!" he managed to gasp between gales of laughter. "Ry, stop tickling me! I .... can't .... breathe!" Greg protested even as he laughed again.

"That's how you keep the music playing," Ryan told him, leaning down to press a kiss against his boyfriend's soft mouth. "By knowing how to have fun, and always enjoying being together, no matter what. I don't think that'll ever be hard for us."

By the way that Greg returned his kiss, he was sure that his lover agreed wholeheartedly.
