"Honey, I'm home." I shouted into the house.
"Sara! Look what I made at school!" Lindsay yelled running out of the other room.
I swooped her up from the ground and hugged her to me. "Well, that's a really good drawing. Is that your mother?"
"Yes, and that's you and that's me." The little girl said, pointing at the paper.
"I like it." I smiled and kissed her head. She fought her way down to the ground again and attempted to steel my purse. "Hey! Give that back to me!" But she ran away with my new and expensive Gucci bag. The one I got from her mother on my birthday. "Lindsay!" I started to follow her around the house. Our little scene ended pretty soon. When we got to the top floor Lindsay ducked behind Catherine, who just came out of the bathroom.
Lindsay was giggling her head off when I bumped into Cath. I didn't see her. Stupid? Yeah, but it was worth it.
"Hey baby, you're home." She said fiddling with my hand.
"Yeah, I just came home. Grissom made me do overtime." I told her.
"Oh you poor girl, c'mere." She pulled me towards her until my forehead was toughing hers. We were practically breathing the same air at that moment. "Are you tired from your work?" She asked, almost whispering. "Mmmm, not anymore." At that I leaned in for her kiss. God, the way she smelled was driving me mad. I had missed her tough the whole day. The morning with her was what I lived for now. And for my little Lindsay, of course. I had moved in with them a month or two ago. But this thing in between us was going on way longer. She slowly licked my lips with her tongue. I willingly opened them and then. I finally tasted her again. It seemed like an eternity when I though about the time she last kissed me. Thinking 'bout that, that was actually last morning. Weird how time can fool you.
"Mommy, what do we have for dinner?" A innocent voice asked behind us. I totally forgot Lindsay was still with us. Catherine let go of me and turned to her daughter.
"Well, I was thinking 'bout going out to eat." She blinked at me.
"You put on some clothes than. C'mon Lindsay, we're gonna watch Barney." I took my little girl by the hand and lead her to the couch. It took me a while to actually find the videotape with Barney on it. I really hated that dinosaur. I swear he's to purple and very annoying but, what the hell, she loves him. To think of it, isn't she a little old for that? Ah well, now I have time to pay her mother a visit. I walk up the stars, as I reach the top I can hear her singing. I love that 'bout her. I know she can't sing but does it even matter? I silently walk up behind her. As I'm only inches from her, my hands cover her eyes. "Guess who?"
She jumps. "Never, ever do that again. I was going to seriously hurt you, if you hadn't spoken."
I rewrap my hands around her waist. "As long as you're toughing me." She slowly strokes my hair.
"Boy, you really missed me today, didn't you?" She laughs.
"Why?" I ask confused.
"You're all soppy. You're never this soppy." Her smile hasn't left her face. I slowly move closer towards her and lay my head on her shoulder.
"You could say that." I tell her, burying my head into her neck. "Mmmm, you smell so good. I love your new perfume, what is it?"
"The one you liked in the store. Hugo Deep Red." I could feel her smile against my skin.
"Can I stay here for a while? It's nice down here." I asked more mumbling then even talking. But somehow she actually heard what I said.
"No you can't, I'm not even dressed. If you want to go out to diner I have to have a shirt on." She joked and pushed me away gently.
I stood there a little lost for a couple of seconds, but than followed her to the closet. "Ware that on." I said hanging over her shoulder. The dress I pointed at was a rose red colour, it was low cut, that was part of the reason I liked it. But it just made her look even prettier than usual.
"Lindsay probably wants to go to the Mc Donalds, so I think it's to much." She said fingering my hair, that lay on her shoulder. She looked at my face. Disappointment was written all over it. "Oh, don't look at me like that, you know I can't stand to see you that. sad." She slowly stroked my cheek. I pulled away from her though, pretending to be mad at her. "Okay I'll ware it, but it's your fault if people start staring." She quickly adds.
I turn back to her with a big smile on my face. "They'll all stare anyway, you are so beautiful people will always stare." I pulled her to me again and captured her lips with mine. Her hands find their way up my back. I deepen the kiss by opening her mouth with my tongue. She gives in easily, I think she missed me to today. My hands are going through her hair, pulling strands through my fingers. She moves her hands down my back and they end up caught in the back pockets of my jeans. She wraps her tongue 'round mine, in that strange way she always does. It makes you want to throw her on the nearest bed and have wild passionate love to her, but before I can even remove her bra she pulles back for the second time that day.
"We should get to dinner. I'll make up for this later." Cath says, letting go of me. "keep Linds company and I'll be down in 10 minutes."
I regret even agreeing with her on going out to have dinner, but than leave her and her dress.

We finally got to the MC Donalds. It was an hour later and Lindsay was starving. I got out of the car and got Linds's door. She jumped out as soon as she could.
"C'mon Sara! I'm hungry. I want a happy meal!" She started pulling my sleeve. Catherine turned down the engine and locked the car.
"Well, lets see if we can change that fact."
'bout 30 minutes later Lindsay had left our table to play at the playground.
"You know, it's really nice of you to come here with us, because of the meat and stuff." Catherine said and took Lindsay's seat next to me.
"Well, it came a long way before I could even see a MC Donalds but time heals all the wounds." I said smiling at her.
"I think you deserve a reward for that." She laughed and kissed me right there in the MC D. God, I had just dealt with the stigma of being gay! But I must admit it felt like the weight of the world had left my shoulders. What simple things can do in life. Weird isn't it. Just as my lips left her and our eyes opened the weight jumped on again. There he stood. Grissom.
