Title: Not Married
By: ullman
Pairing: Nick/Greg
Rating: PG
Disclaimer: Not Mine
Author's Note: I blame Mr. Eads.
Summary: Also, I had a major urge for fluff tonight but I couldn't find any new fluff so I decided to watch the George Eads interview again. Big mistake. Not only am I now fighting major rps bunnies, and bad hair nightmares, but I also wrote Nick/Greg fluff. It's just a little drabble. But yeah, fluffy.

He almost misses it, probably because he doesn't usually pay all that much attention to the walls in his hall. But he catches it anyways and freezes at the spot. He vaguely hears Greg call out his name, and coffee, he's pretty sure Greg mentioned coffee. He doesn't answer him, instead he keeps staring at the wall.

Only a moment later Greg appears in the door opening, two coffee mugs in his hand, so he wasn't wrong about the coffee thing. Greg tries to hand him a mug, frowning when Nick makes no attempt to take the offered mug.

Nick shakes his head, points at the wall and asks, "What's that, Greg?"

Greg grins. "I think they call it a framed photo, Nick."

Nick nods slowly, glaring at the frame on the wall. He remembers the night the picture was taken, all of the nightshift invited to attend the opening of the new casino. Not sure why they were invited, it had something to do with Catherine, he's not sure. He does remember getting their picture taken. Together. Looking so much like a, well, couple.

They are, and have been for months now, but it never really sunk in until he saw this picture. And Greg having it framed and hanging it on the wall, that sort of makes it official. They're officially together, not married, but still.

"You don't like it?" Greg asks and there's no way he could miss the insecurity in the other man's words.

Nick shoots one last look at the framed photo of them in tuxedo's, smiling and holding each other, before he turns around and smiles. "I like it, G. I think I like it a lot."

He finally takes his mug and smiles as he follows Greg into his living room. Their living room. So, maybe they're not married, but it doesn't matter, as long as they're together. Official or not.
