Summary: Nick gives the new neighbor fair warning.....

***

Nick noticed the moving van as he pulled into the driveway. Gil was waiting for him in the living room, and Nick asked if he had caught a glimpse of the new neighbors yet. Gil said that as far as he could tell it was just one person moving in. Nick commented that he hoped the new neighbor was nice and quiet like the previous tenant. Gil laughed and said he hoped so too. After the two men had breakfast, Nick took a shower and went to bed. Gil had errands and left the house to get started.

When Gil arrived home, he saw the new guy unloading some boxes from the back of his car. He walked over to the hedge that divided the driveways and the new guy walked over.....
"Hi, I'm Tony Roberts...."
"Gil Grissom....."
"Nice to meet you, Gil..."
"Likewise....."
"Have you lived here long, Gil?"
"My partner and I have lived here about 15 years....."
"Your partner?"
"Yes.....his name is Nick. We bought the house not long after we got together....."
"So do you like the neighborhood?"
"We like it fine.....everyone is friendly but not overly so. It's nice and quiet....."
"I like the 'quiet' part.....I got tired of apartment living, and decided the suburbs was the way to go. So what do the two of you do?"
"Nick is a supervisor at the Las Vegas Crime Lab, and I give lectures on entomology periodically at LVU....."
"What is entomology?"
"It is the scientific study of insects.....what do you do?"
"I'm part of the security team at the Bellagio....."
"How long have you been with them?"
"About two years....."
Gil's cell rang and he reached into his pocket to get it. He looked at the caller ID and told Tony that he needed to take the call, and that it had been nice meeting him. Gil walked back to his car to get his shopping bag and went into the house. After dinner, Nick and Gil were sitting out on the back deck when Gil mentioned meeting their new neighbor......
"So what is he like?"
"He seemed friendly enough.....his name is Tony Roberts and he works in security at the Bellagio....."
"Is he tall, maybe around your height, sandy brown hair, medium build?"
"That's him to a T.....do you know him?"
"I dealt with him on a case there about a year ago. He seemed to be a bit of a kiss-ass.....a lot like Hodges. I wasn't very impressed with him."
"He didn't come across that way to me.....as I said, he seemed rather friendly....
Not much else was mentioned about Tony after that. The two men discussed mundane matters regarding the lab and Gil's latest round of lectures at the university. Soon it was time for Nick to get ready for work, and while he showered and dressed, Gil prepared sandwiches for him to take to work.
The next few days passed uneventfully until Thursday afternoon when Gil was arriving home from the university. As he was getting out of the car, Tony walked up the driveway and invited Gil and Nick to a housewarming party he was having on Saturday. Gil said he would run it by Nick and see what he thought, and Tony replied that he looked forward to seeing them there. Gil mentioned Tony's invitation, and Nick said it was fine with him.

At the appointed time, Nick and Gil made their way up the front walk to Tony's front door. Gil rang the bell and an attractive young man opened the door. Gil explained that they were there for the party, and the young man led them through the house to the patio area in back. Tony saw them and walked over to shake hands with Gil and was formally introduced to Nick. Tony said that he remembered Nick and welcomed them to the party. Tony introduced them to several people and then excused himself to attend to other matters.

Nick noticed that the guest list seemed to be comprised of men only, and then it hit him that Mr. Roberts must be gay. That suspicion was confirmed when Nick saw Tony kissing a guy in a more than friendly manner. Gil had noticed also, and commented to Nick that it might be fun to have a neighbor of their persuasion. Nick just smiled and nodded. The two men circulated with Nick taking the lead since he was the more social of the two, and everyone seemed nice. Nick kept noticing Tony appear and disappear with different men throughout the evening, but decided not to say anything because it really wasn't any of his business.

When it was time to go, Tony walked them to the door and thanked them for the gift, and for coming to the party. Gil told him that they would have him over as soon as schedules would permit. Tony accepted the offer and Gil said he would call him to set something up. Nick and Gil made their way back to their house and once inside, started getting ready for bed.....
"Did you enjoy the party, Nick?"
"I suppose so......why do you ask?"
"I noticed that you didn't have much to say as the evening wore on....."
"I was just paying attention to all that was going on around me.....just observing."
"Anything in particular catch your attention?"
"Yeah.....our neighbor is quite the Romeo. He disappeared with three different guys at different times....he seems to get around....."
"You can't tell me you weren't that randy when you were his age.....I know for a fact you were!"
Nick laughed and pulled Gil close, intent on showing him just how randy he was right then. Gil turned out the light and blissfully surrendered to Nick's ministrations with a smile.....

A couple of weeks went by and one afternoon, Gil was out in the back yard preparing the flower beds for spring planting when he heard the back gate close. Thinking it was Nick, Gil called out to him. He was surprised when Tony came around the corner of the house......
"Tony....."
"Hi, Gil.....sorry to barge in like that. I rang the bell but no one answered. I saw your car out front, and when I heard you whistling, I came back here. I apologize for being too forward.....'
"No harm done.....I thought you were Nick coming back from the gardening store....."
"Are you getting ready for spring planting?"
"Yes.....Nick enjoys the flowers while I enjoy studying the insects they attract. It really is a win-win situation....."
"Do you need some help?"
"No, but thanks anyway.....I was just about to take a break.....would you like to join me for a beer?"
"Sure.....do you think Nick would mind?"
"I don't see why he would....."
"So he's not the jealous type?"
"I wouldn't say that.....he's been known to be get jealous from time to time....."
"I can see why he would be....."
Gil didn't quite know how to respond, so he just let it go. He went inside to get the beer. He handed one to Tony and the two sat down in the deck chairs. They talked about Tony's work and Gil only slightly bored him with bug tales. About thirty minutes later, Gil heard Nick calling to him from inside the house. He stood and went to the back door to let Nick know he was on the deck and that Tony was visiting. Nick came outside with a beer and sat down with the other two men. Gil asked how Nick's trip went at the gardening store, and Nick replied that they had gotten his order wrong and had to wait while they fixed it. Gil asked if Nick needed help getting everything out of the truck, and Nick said he could get it. Tony offered to help but Nick turned down his offer also. Tony told the two that he was heading back to his place and he would talk to them later. He extended an invitation to Gil regarding his back garden. Gil laughed and said he just might take him up on that sometime.

After Nick unloaded the truck Gil suggested they go out for dinner. Nick took a shower and the two men headed out. After they ate, the two decided to see a movie. While they were standing in line, Nick nudged Gil in the ribs and nodded his head toward the front of the line. Tony was waiting in line with what appeared to be his date, and was flirting with another guy standing near them. Tony turned to say something to his date when he saw Nick and Gil out of the corner of his eye. He waved to them and Gil waved back.

Tony made his way back to where they were, and spoke to the pair.....
"Fancy meeting you here....."
"Hello, Tony....."
"So I see Mr. Crime Fighter got a night off, huh?"
"Something like that....."
Nick bristled at the comment but said nothing. Gil and Tony talked for a minute or two and then Tony went back to his friends. After they got inside the theater, Gil bought snacks for himself and Nick and settled down to watch the movie. Nick had no clue what the movie was about because he was too busy thinking about the way Tony had acted around Gil and that snide remark about 'Mr. Crime Fighter'. Tony was up to something, and Nick had a pretty good idea as to what it was.....

Weeks went by and Nick put the whole 'Tony' business on the back burner. He had to because things got hectic at work and stayed that way. Gil understood Nick's plight all too well not only because he'd been there himself. When the two men did have time, they spent as much of it as they could with each other. When Nick wasn't around, Tony would come over and ask Gil about his work at the university. When Nick got wind of this, he and Gil had a horrible argument about Tony hanging around so much, and Gil accused Nick of being jealous. He replied that he was damn well was jealous, and that if Tony kept fucking around, he sure as hell be sorry.

After they argued, Gil began trying to discourage Tony from dropping by so much. He told him that he was busy preparing a new set of lectures and had a couple of deadlines that he needed to meet. Tony's feelings were hurt, but he told Gil he understood. Nick was glad to note that Tony wasn't under foot so much, and Gil was glad to see that Nick had calmed down. The calm wasn't to last too much longer though because one night while Nick and Gil were watching TV, the phone rang. Gil answered and Tony asked if he and Gil could meet for lunch the next day. Gil told him that lunch wasn't a good idea. When Tony asked why, Gil explained that Nick didn't think it was a good idea and that Tony would be making a mistake by pursuing the issue. With that, Gil hung up the phone.

Gil turned toward Nick to find him staring at the TV. He could see the muscles working in Nick's jam and the veins pulsing in Nick's neck. He knew that these were sure signs that Nick was pissed, and that his best bet was to keep quiet. Gill knew deep down that Nick wasn't angry with him because he had done nothing wrong. He hadn't encouraged Tony in any way, and wasn't attracted to him at all. He was smart enough to know what Tony really wanted, but he wasn't getting it from Gil. Gil had everything he could ever want with Nick and he sure as hell wasn't going to fuck that up over someone like Tony Roberts. When they went to bed that night, Gil could tell Nick was still angry, just a little less so. When they got in bed, Gil turned toward Nick, kissed him, and told him that he loved him. Nick kissed Gil back, turned off the light, turned off the light and went to sleep.

The next morning, Gil got up early and got breakfast ready. Nick came in after his shower, pulled Gil into his arms and apologized for being so cold. He went on to explain that it was because he loved Gil so much, and the thought of anyone encroaching on what he considered his pissed him off to no end. Gil laughed and asked if he was merely a piece of Nick's property. Nick looked Gil dead in the eye and said,"No, baby, you're my whole world....." Gil kissed Nick and the two had their breakfast.

Nick was able to get away from the lab a couple of hours early that afternoon, and hurried home to surprise Gil. When he pulled into the drive, he saw Tony sitting on the front step. He got out of his truck and Tony met him on the front walk.....
"What the hell are you doing here, Tony?"
"Waiting to talk to either you or Gil....preferably Gil....."
"Sorry to disappoint you, but I don't think you'll be getting to talk to Gil much anymore....."
"Why not?"
"Because he doesn't want what you're trying to offer.....besides, why would he want an imitation when he has a real man already?"
"You call yourself a real man?"
"You're damned right I do!
As soon as Nick said that, he punched Tony in the mouth. Tony got up in a fighting stance, but dropped his hands to his sides when he saw the dangerous look in Nick's eyes......
"Now you listen, and listen good.....Gil belongs with me. I've got a license that says he's mine because I caught him first. Know this: if you keep on bothering us, and you don't leave Gil alone, it'll be open season on you. Do I make myself clear??"

Tony never said another word. He walked back across the yard and disappeared into his house. Nick went inside and got an ice pack for his rapidly swelling hand. When Gil got home, he was pleased to see Nick's truck in the drive. Nick met him at the door with a cold beer and lots of kisses. Gil saw Nick had and asked what happened. Nick told him about the run in with Tony and for some strange reason, hearing the story turned Gil on. He reached for Nick and began kissing him hungrily. Nick got with the program quickly, and began undressing Gil as fast as he could. Gil returned the favor in kind, and the two men stood in the middle of the living room kissing, and stroking each other. Gil pushed Nick down on the couch and began kissing his way down toward Nick's crotch.

Nick arched upward as Gil's tongue came into contact with his erect cock. Gil laughed and licked the length up and down, swirling his tongue around the head. Nick moaned and whimpered for more contact while Gil teased at Nick's nut sack. Gil decided to put him out of his misery and took his length into his mouth and down his throat. Nick was too far gone to stand much, and he was shooting down Gil's throat in a matter of seconds. Gil let Nick's cock droop from his mouth and leaned in to give Nick a kiss.....
"Thank you for that, babe....."
"The blowjob?"
"Yeah......what say you let me return the favor?"
"I've got plans for that for later....."
"Aww, c'mon Gil......please?"
"Patience, babe.....I love you....."
"I love you too, Peanut....."

THE END
