Ryan rolled off of Greg with a sigh of satisfaction, turning over onto his back and gathering his boyfriend into his arms. Greg stretched out next to him, turning onto his side and sliding his arms around Ryan's waist, curling up next to him and echoing Ryan's contented sigh.

"What would you say if I told you that you're the most amazing lover in the universe?" Greg said softly, splaying out his fingers on Ryan's chest. "I don't really have a lot of experience to compare you to anybody else, but I think you're incredible."

"I wouldn't say I'm a great lover, but I'm not bad at it," Ryan answered with a soft chuckle. "I think you're the one who's amazing. Every time I make love to you it gets better." He brushed a gentle kiss across Greg's forehead, smiling as he did so.

"I wish I could be the perfect lover for you," Greg murmured, a pink blush suffusing his cheeks. "And I wish that you'd have been the first." There was regret in the depths of his dark eyes when he looked up at Ryan, his words soft and a little hesitant.

"But I was the first," Ryan told him, his voice husky with emotion. "You're a virgin until you make love for the first time, Greg. You endured a rape. You didn't make love. So as far as I'm concerned, I was your first lover. And I'm honored that you wanted me to be the first."

"I wish I'd have met you a long time ago," Greg whispered, moving his hand down Ryan's chest. "If I had, then none of that would have happened, and you'd have been the first -- and only -- person I was ever with. But it's no use thinking like that, is it?"

"No, it isn't," Ryan agreed, shaking his head and sighing. "I don't like to bring that subject up, because I know it depresses you. But we can't change the past, Greg. We've just got to deal with it, and learn to deal with it. I just wish you didn't have so much to deal with."

"Thanks to you, I'm past the worst of it," Greg told him, brightening. "I hardly ever think about the past any more. And the nightmares are pretty much gone -- at least the ones that I used to have. Anyway, let's not talk about that. You're right, it's in the past. It's over and done with."

"It is," Ryan agreed with a smile. "Let's find something else to talk about." He moved his hand down Greg's back and down over the rounded curves of his ass to cup one firm buttock. "Let's talk about how gorgeous you are, and how good you feel in my arms."

"I could say the same thing about you," Greg murmured, blushing again at the compliment. "We'll never agree on this, but I think you're a lot better looking than I am. I've always thought my ears stick out, and I've never liked the moles on my cheek."

"Really?" Ryan lifted a hand to trace the pattern of a heart on Greg's cheek, smiling as he did so. "I love them. I think they're sexy, and unique. They're one of the things that makes you so beautiful, and I wouldn't change a single thing about how you look."

"If you like them, then I guess they're not so bad," Greg said softly, his gaze meeting Ryan's. "I never really thought of them that way, that they make me look unique." He bowed his head to press a kiss to the hollow at the base of Ryan's throat, his lips soft and warm.

"Do you have any idea how good that feels?" Ryan murmured, closing his eyes and letting himself sink into the pleasurable sensation of Greg's lips on his skin. "I love how you kiss me, Greg. You know just how to touch me. You're the best at that."

"You're the best at everything we do together," Greg said, his voice soft and husky. "I can't imagine ever wanting anybody else to touch me, now that I know what it feels like to be with you. You're the only person I ever want to be with, Ryan."

"And you're the only person I'll ever be with again," Ryan murmured, pulling Greg closer against him. "I couldn't even look at anybody else now. There's no other person who could catch my interest, not after being with you. You're my idea of perfect."

Greg laughed softly, shaking his head at Ryan's words. "Perfect? Come on, Ry, you're exaggerating. It's not possible for anybody to be perfect -- and I've got a lot of flaws. But I'm working on them -- and as long as I'm perfect for you, then nothing else matters."

"You're perfect in my eyes," Ryan said softly, nuzzling his cheek against Greg's hair. "I know you're not a perfect person, Greg. I don't expect you to be. Perfect people are really boring. But you're the best person I've ever known, and I wouldn't change a thing about you."

"I wouldn't change you in any way, either," Greg replied, closing his eyes and resting his head on Ryan's shoulder. "You're the best person I've ever known, too -- the best lover, the best boyfriend, the best CSI. You're just .... amazing."

"Like you said, you don't have a wide range of experience to say that I'm the best lover around," Ryan said with a soft laugh. "But y'know, I'm glad you don't. It's an honor to know that you waited for me. I consider myself the luckiest guy in the world to be the one to make love to you."

"And I'm the luckiest guy in the world to be the one you make love to," Greg answered, turning over onto his stomach and propping his chin on Ryan's chest, regarding his lover with a smile. "I might not have all that much sexual experience, but I know when someone's good at it."

Now it was Ryan's turn to blush, the color rising to his cheeks. "I'm glad you think so, babe," he said, his voice very soft. "I've had people tell me I'm good at making love, but it's never meant as much to hear it from anybody else as it does hearing it from you."

"I hope I'm not awful at it," Greg murmured, averting his gaze from Ryan's. "I always worry that I'm not -- and that you'll get bored with me and find somebody who knows more about what they're doing than I do. I might talk a good game, but I'm still new at this."

"You don't really think I could walk away from you and find somebody else, do you?" Ryan asked, his arms tightening around Greg's waist. "You don't ever have to worry about that, Greg. There's nobody better than you, and nobody else I could ever want -- or love -- more."

Greg didn't answer; he simply laid his head back down on Ryan's chest, moving his hand down to his lover's hip to trace a heart on his skin with gentle fingertips. Ryan lay there with Greg in his arms, one hand stroking his boyfriend's hair, waiting patiently for him to speak.

When he did, his voice was soft, but clear and firm. "Maybe neither one of us is the best on our own -- but together, we're the best team ever," he said, finally raising his head to look at Ryan. "We're invincible when we're together -- and we're perfect for each other."

"I couldn't agree more," Ryan answered, his own voice soft and husky with emotion. "It doesn't matter if we're the best, Greg. As long as we love each other and we're happy together, then nothing else is really important. And as long as we're the best thing in each other's lives."

"You're the best thing that's ever happened in my life," Greg whispered, lifting one hand to trace the heart-shaped outline of Ryan's upper lip. "You changed everything for me, Ryan. For the better. My life has been a much happier place since you took up residence in it."

"And mine has, too," Ryan murmured, kissing Greg's fingertip before taking it between his teeth, growling playfully. Within a few seconds, the mood went from serious to silly, with Greg yelping and pretending to try to pull his finger away from Ryan's mouth.

"You're the best at making me happy, that's for sure," Greg said, laughing as he settled into the crook of Ryan's arm again, his head once more resting on his boyfriend's chest. "And I still say that you're the best at making love, no matter what you might think."

"And you're the best at stroking my ego and making me feel like I'm the best," Ryan responded with a soft laugh. "If you think I'm the best, babe, then I'll accept that. But you've got to accept the fact that I think you're the best. It goes both ways."

"I think I can do that." Greg laughed softly as he slid his arms around Ryan, snuggling beside him and closing his eyes. "You're the best at making me feel good in ways that don't have anything to do with sex, too. I hope you don't ever stop doing that."

"I don't intend to," Ryan said softly, smiling as he closed his eyes and pulled Greg closer to him. Within moments, both of them were asleep in each other's arms, relaxing into sleep and dreaming of each other with smiles on their faces and love in their hearts.
