Title: The Green Light
Author: White Rabbit
Pairing: Nick/Greg
Rating: PG
Warning: maybe some angst? Or fluff?(though I'm not sure if that really counts for warnings.) Slightly AU.
Spoilers: Slight Grave Danger (because I've only seen clips and read stories it not really deep spoilers)
Summary: It kept flashing, the walls felt like they were closing in.
A/N: This hit me because I read stories centered around the Grave Danger story (SPOILER after the part) and how Nick deals with small spaces and bugs but they never really touch on the green light flashing. Some have it in passing fashion. But I figure why not write it about it triggering something. (/ end SPOILER here) Its in Nicks P.o.v. and its an established Nick/Greg romance.

I start from my sound sleep. I'm not quite sure on what woke me up. I turn to my left and see that Greg is still next to me. Over the course of us sleeping he has wrapped his arm around me. So it wasn't him that woke me up. I glance around the room then it caught my eye.

There was a soft green light coming from the dresser, it was flashing. I felt the bile rise up. I closed my eyes but it was no use I could still see it. It kept flashing, the wall were closing in. I was back in the box again. My air supply was running out and I couldn't breath. Then I felt it there were ants all over my skin. They were crawling all over me, under my shirt and my boxers. I couldn't move the walls in the clear box were too small.

The light still kept flashing. Oh my god. I hope someone finds me. I think my air is running out. What if I don't see Greg again? I haven't said all that I needed. My skin is on fire where the ants are biting me. I can feel the tears that are spilling from my eyes.

The light keeps flashing taunting me. I feel sick to my stomach. I feel dirty and tired I think I'm going to pass out. The I feel a hand on my shoulder shaking me. Greg was yelling my name, with how loud he was yelling I wonder why I didn't hear it before. I look at him an it slowly come to me that I was rescued, save from my imprisonment. I wasn't there any more, it had happened over a year ago.

Greg pulled me in to his arms and whispered sweet nothings to me the silent question hanging in the air. I wasn't willing to answer it just yet. I settled in his warm embrace. After trying to start three times I finally got my bearings.

"The green flashing light. It set me off. I thought I had gotten over it. But I don't think I ever came across a green flashing light."

Silently cursing himself he gently push him self from our embrace and got out of bed. He twisted the offending object, I still couldn't make it out, to the wall. He climbed in bed dragging me against him again.

"My hero."

"Shush you and get some sleep."

He started to run his hand over my hair soothing me. I could feel my eye drop more.

The green flashing no longer mocked me, I was safe here in Greg's arms.

Everything was okay, because Greg was here to help me.
