...Blood...lots of it...all over...the walls and soaking into the carpet...

Mac, Hawkes, and Danny stood in the foyer of the Greenich Villahe home. "This much blood...2 pints or more at a time..." Hawkes said quietly; Mac just nodded while Danny just looked around. Wearing 'booties'; the three entered the house. "Where's Detective Flack?" "Canvasin' the neighborhood -- accordin' to the two uniforms outside, Boss." "Danny...Hawkes...spilt up and find the point of origin.." The two nodded and quietly left Mac to take a look at the victims' body, just then Don walked in and carefully over to Mac.

"Hey Mac, three neighbors say they heard the vics give blood-curlding screams and then...moments later saw some unknown men leave the house and the neighborhood in quite a hurry.." Mac nodded; meanwhile in the other parts of the house -- Danny was upstairs taking photos and collecting bits of trace evidence. Hawkes was off in the backyard doing the exact same thing.

Sweat Blood - informal - to be under a strain, work strenously...

The city was cracking down on the crime lab and on Don -- they still hadn't found the men who had killed those women and were under serious pressure from the Mayor and the Police Commisioner of NYC. They were literally sweating inside the lab -- for one reason it was a really WARM day and the AC had suddenly broken. "Who was the genius who forgot to call the AC repairman, Mac?" Danny was irrated from the heat; Mac looked at Danny who shut up and went back to work.

..Tears...

Finnaly, tears swormed over the city nearly a year or two later when the killers were found by Don when he was on patrol one day and was told by an elderly woman that the men were in the alleyway behind her building. Victory.
