Unforgettable, that's what you are...

Catherine makes it home after a long day of work and opens up the door to her house; the house she shares with her long time girlfriend Sara Sidle, "Sara...honey I'm home...I wonder where she could be?"

As she hangs her coat up and heads to the kitchen for a bite of breakfast before going to bed, she sees a note with a single red rose along with the note on the kitchen table;

Dear Cat,

Sorry I wasn't here when you got home but I had a few errands to run besides taking Lindsey to school.  I will be back as soon as possible.  HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!

Love

Your Sara

Catherine smiles and frown simultaneously because she loves getting notes from Sara that are signed that way, but she forgot that today was Valentine's Day, "Damn I forgot, and I've got no gift for Sara, maybe I'll cook dinner tonight."

Catherine heads to the cupboard for a cup for her coffee and sees another note;

Cat, Your favorite breakfast is warm in the oven...enjoy   Love YS.

"Aww she made me breakfast too, God I love her," Catherine says as she spots a plate with a Veggie Omlette and wheat toast in the oven wrapped in aluminum foil.  She finishes the breakfast and is just about to head to bed when Sara comes through the door, "Hey baby, I missed you last night."

"Aww Cat, I missed you too," Sara says as she wraps her arms around her lover.

"What are those things, I know you didn't take anything to the cleaners?" Catherine questions Sara about the two outfits she was carrying when she came into the house.

"Never you mind, just go upstairs and get some sleep I'll take care of the breakfast dishes and join you in bed in a few... besides I need you to be fresh for our date tonight." Sara says patting Catherine on the backside ushering her towards the stairs.

"Date...what date aren't we both on tonight?"

"We were until I called Grissom and asked him for a night for the two of us....and don't bother calling him and asking him why I did it, I swore him to secrecy...now go," Sara says and kisses Catherine before turning toward the kitchen thus ending the conversation.

After a good eight hours sleep, Catherine wakes up as see Sara watching her, "Morning Baby."

"Morning Darling...did you sleep well?"

"I did"

"That's good, we have just enough time to get into the shower and get dressed before the limo gets here."

"Limo...what limo, Sara what's going on?"

"It's Valentine's Day and I am taking my girlfriend out for a night on the town...This is yours," Sara says before handing over one of the outfits.

"Sara...it's beautiful, how did you know that royal blue was my favorite color?"

"Lindsey."

"It must have cost a fortune."

"Don't worry, I have it covered."

"First a limo, then this lovely dress...what's next."

"If you don't hurry you may never find out."

An hour and a half later Sara and Catherine are ready for their date; Catherine in her royal blue, figure hugging gown with a slit up the side showing just enough leg....Sara in a figure hugging, ivory pants suit with a shirt that is the same color as Catherine's dress.

"Catherine you are a goddess." Sara says with a kiss.

"Sara you look lovely." Catherine says returning the kiss.

The kiss is interrupted by a car horn, "Limo's here."

"What about Lindsey?"

"Nancy has agreed to take her for the night...now let's go."

A fifteen minute limo ride later the two women are dropped off at Caesar's Palace, "Sara you shouldn't have."

"Oh this is just the appetizer, first course is a show, I know how much you like Natalie Cole so I got tickets for her show."

After the show Catherine and Sara are walking up to the front desk, "Your best suite sir...should be under the name Sidle."

"Right here reservations and room service dinner for two, in the bridal suite...enjoy your evening."

Catherine was in awe over all the details that Sara had gone through for this date; a dress in her favorite color, tickets for her favorite performer, now bridal suite and a room service dinner of lobster tail, asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes with creme bruille for dessert, while Sara had stuffed flounder, baby carrots and fingerling potato au gratin and the same dessert.

"Sara, please you've got to tell me how you can afford all this."

"Well, my brother informed me that he finally sold off the bed and breakfast that my folks owned along with the adjoining land and we split the profits 50/50...Oh but there is one more thing and this I paid for myself...Please Catherine will you please stand..." Sara says as she and Catherine move away from the dinner table, Catherine stands while Sara kneels in front of Catherine, she then pulls a box out of her coat pocket opens it and reveals a three carat diamond ring, "Catherine Willows, will you marry me."

Catherine pulls Sara up from her knees, kisses her with all the passion she can muster and with tears in her eyes she says "Yes Sara I will marry you, but I didn't give you anything for Valentine's Day and you give me all this."

"Catherine, you give me all the love your heart has to offer so everyday with you is Valentine's Day."

"I love you Sara."

"I love you too Catherine."

Oh my Darling it's incredible that someone so unforgettable...thinks that I am unforgettable too.
