Nick had been waiting for this day for the past two weeks. Gil was finally coming home after a two-week conference, and to Nick's mind, the man couldn't get home fast enough.

Nick took every precaution to make sure everything was perfect. He had traded 2 days off with Greg, had the champagne on ice, the chocolate sauce for later, the candles for the bedroom, the silk sheets on the bed strewn with rose petals, the massage oil to give Gil a rubdown, and a brand new bottle of lube. As far as he was concerned, everything was ready.

Nick got into the shower about 9 p.m. so he would be fresh when Gil got home around 10:15. At least that's when they figured Gil would make it in. Of course, there was traffic to consider, and finding a cab, but Nick wasn't worried because Gil would do whatever it took to hurry home to Nick.

When they had talked on the phone last, Gil expressed his eagerness to see his love, and Nick returned the sentiment. Gil asked if Nick was being good, and Nick laughed. He told Gil that he didn't think he could hold on much longer.

Nick glanced at the clock while lighting the candles and finishing his preparations. He got everything ready and got into bed. He heard the cab pull up, and his heart began to pound in anticipation. This was it! The moment he had waited for was finally at hand.

Gil made his way quietly down the hall. He was being quiet because he thought Nick was in bed asleep. He was hardly prepared for the sight that greeted him when he opened the bedroom door. Candles covered almost every available surface, casting a very romantic glow. Gil saw champagne on ice with two glasses sitting on the dresser. He could smell the incense in the air. But all this didn't prepare him for the sight in the middle of his and Nick's king-sized bed.

Nick lay there with yards of blood-red silk pooled in strategic places, his dark brown eyes completely black with lust. Gil walked closer to the bed, and Nick smiled and said,"Welcome home, Peanut!"
