The light was hitting our skin now while the sheets were still tangled around us. Her fingers traced my body, leaving a trail of fire in its wake and then she surprised me after such a long silence “How do you feel?” she spoke like she new not to doubt my answer before I had chance to answer it.

My eyes followed her touch; I must be giving myself away if that look in her eyes is anything to go by. My breathing stumbled as her thumb glassed my lips. I kissed it, and as a reward she smiled. I told her “lost…”

My answer hadn’t phased her, though her hand stopped its caress and rested on my arm. “Lost?” She asked curiously.

“I like to be in control, you know what I'm like with a scene, a single piece of evidence. I guess you and I... I never expected to…I wanted to but I didn't think...” I paused.

Her understanding reflected in her eyes. “Me neither” she then looked down at her hand searching for a distraction, though she was waiting I could tell she was focused on me completely “how are we going to do this Sara?”

I swallowed, the way she said my name was enough to me off again “What do you mean? Work?”

She nodded “They will notice how I am with you! I won’t be able to stop myself”

I took a moment to think about it “Grissom would notice” I watched her as she looked down again, and I had to reassure her “You know, I will be smiling all the time, singing, whistling to myself…”

“Whistling?” She screwed up her nose, which I found so adorable!

“You never whistle?”

“Not often!” her face softened into a bright smile.

I laughed under my breath “Me neither!”

Her hand began moving again, like a switch on her ease. “If they suspect anything, I think we should let them come to us.”

“And if they ask you, what will you say?”

“Improvise?” She raised an eyebrow “Anyway I think they'd ask you first”

“What if I said, ask Sofia?”

I watched her nose screw again “Maybe that’s all they need for confirmation?”

I smiled again “Your right!” I took the hand that was moving along my arm and in mine and entwined our fingers as I moved in to kiss her. After gently brushing my lips against hers I pulled away, just enough to see her face “What?” I asked trying not to laugh at her bemused look.

“Nothing, I just never thought there would come a day where I’d hear you agreeing with me!” Her eyebrow flickered, she was a tease!

I quickly grabbed her sides and pushed her onto her back rolling on top of her “Oh is that right huh?!” my hands searched for hers so that I could pin them above her head.

After a small struggle and laughing heavily Sofia managed to still my hands, catching her breath she said “I guess I should’ve kissed you sooner!”

I murmured softly from my throat “Now that I will agree with!” and then I kissed her again.
