I watched with amusement as Sara's mouth fell open in absolute shock. Of course I didn't know then she was just getting psyched up to ask me the same question, but it something about it had struck her like a bolt from the blue.

As she tried to get her mouth back under control I leaned forward a little, letting her have a good look down my cleavage, something she always liked, and I loved doing her for her more than I ever had when I was dancing for a job. Part of that was that we loved each other, and the look of lust and love in her eyes left me feeling loved, adored and needed, part of it was seeing Sara, super-controlled Sara, losing it completely as she looked at me.

"Marry me?" I repeated, knowing that she wasn't really in any fit state to answer. Still I was shocked as she slid from the chair to end up on her knees in front of me. Stunned as she managed to get her hands under control and she reached for something in her purse.

Then it was my turn to be left speechless as she opened a box and moved it towards me, inside was a ring, and as she held it under my nose she managed to croak "Marry me?"

Now I didn't know what to say, I knew precisely why she'd been struck dumb. Great minds think alike and all that, but we'd both decided to ask the other to marry us on the same night, and at the same time. It felt better than the only other time anyone had proposed to me, an expression of love, trust and mutual respect rather than doing the right thing because we had to, but I still couldn't get my lips to work, vocalising was completely beyond me.

"I'd love to marry you Cat" Sara said hoarsely as she leaned in to kiss me. Just before our lips met I managed to whisper "I'll marry you too" and then rational thought fled as our lips touched and the fire of passion and love that always flared when we kissed consumed us both.
